In this lesson, you will learn how to start transactions on Kudi by funding your wallet first and cashing out on transactions.

Basically, you can fund your Kudi wallet in two ways:

  1. By making payments into your unique Kudi Top-up Account (KTA) using USSD, mobile bank transfer or over-the-counter bank transfer.
  2. By funding  your wallet using your debit card.

  • Click on the Fund wallet on the Home page of Kudi app
  • Enter amount you want to put in your wallet
  • Select Bank Transfer as your payment method
  • Select the bank you will be funding from the bank list
  • Dial the USSD string generated
  • Select Providus Bank from your bank’s USSD response
  • Enter your USSD Transaction PIN to complete the transaction
  • Your account will be topped up with the amount you selected

  • Locate your bank branch anywhere in Nigeria.
  • Inside the bank, locate the funds’ transfer desk or customer care center and request for a fund transfer form.
  • Fill in the relevant information in the form like the normal way a customer would usually fill the form to transfer funds. The fields in this form vary from one bank to another, however, there are generic fields that are required to be filled.
  • Tick the interbank transfer checkbox and NIP transfer checkbox (usually at the top of the forms)
  • Fill in your bank account details which include; your bank account number from which the funds will be transferred from
  • Fill in the beneficiary details; Enter your Kudi Topup Account (business) name as the Beneficiary name, the 10 digit KTA number as the beneficiary account number, and fill in the beneficiary bank as the bank assigned with the KTA number i.e Providus bank
  • Fill in the amount you want to fund your wallet with.
  • Sign your signature on the form and enter the date.
  • Submit the form to the bank official to initiate the transfer.
  • Once the transfer is completed, your payment is instantly successful.
NOTE: Although the account numbers are Providus Bank, transfers CANNOT be completed at any Providus Bank branch yet.

  • Click on the Fund wallet on the Home page of Kudi app
  • Enter amount you want to put in your wallet
  • Select Card Payment as your payment method
  • Click on Add a new card
  • Provide your card details and proceed to pay the amount inputted
  • An OTP will be sent to your phone, enter this OTP and continue.
  • You might be redirected to your bank verification service, follow the command as instructed by your bank. If successful, you will be directed back to Kudi and payment will be processed.
  • Once payment is processed, the transaction will be complete.

You can send up to N500,000 to your own personal bank account on the Kudi App.  Steps to use the Cash out Option on the Kudi App:

  • Log in on the App
  • On the Home page, select Wallet
  • Click on the Wallet cash out option
  • Select Amount
  • Confirm Transaction details and select Send.
